Gribble ( 1908- 1985) wrote/edited over 200 books with most featuring the cautious but imaginative Anthony Slade of Scotland Yard. Here,the second impression of a work first published in 1933. ' A Harrap Jig-Saw Mystery' that INCLUDES a 150 piece jig-saw puzzle ( 1 piece missing) contained in a box attached to the inside of the lower board which when completed presents a colour reconstruction of the dramatic climax of the story described in the closing pages. Those closing pages were in a sealed section of light orange tissue paper,now broken. Two other titles " Murder Of The Only Witness " and "The Case Of The Velvet Claws " are listed on the back flap of the dust jacket which suggests Gribble's book was third in the Jig-Saw series. Very Good in orange cloth,black spine design in a Fair-Good dust jacket save for a couple of largish spine chips,creases. Prev.own's bookplate of a Canadian Senator partly affixed to pastedown. 288pp (p)
