Evans' (1881-1957) British naval officer's entertaining account of patrolling the Dover Straits during WWI, mine laying and mine sweeping, escort work, the Destroyers etc. Earlier in life. Evans served as second-in-command on Robert Falcon Scott's ill-fated expedition to the South Pole in 1910-1913. Very Good in blue cloth, spine and covers titles in gilt, modest spine /corner wear.
